MOYA Day at CSS
Grade 5 students dressed in orange in honor of MOYA Spirit Day.á MOYA is the Month of the Young Adolescent. October is MOYA,á as proclaimed by Massachusetts governor Deval L. Patrick in 2012á as youth between the ages of approximately 10 and 15 undergo more extensive physical, mental, social, moral and emotional changes, with the possible exception of infancy, than at any other time of life. The attitudes and values young adolescents develop during these formative years largely determine their later behavior.

On Friday, September 12, students and staff joined many schools across the country to celebrate pride and patriotism in our country by singing the Star Spangled Banner. The Star Spangled Banner is our country's National Anthem and was written by Francis Scott Key in the year 1814 after witnessing the Battle of Fort McHenry in the battle of 1812.
