CSS Annual Cookout

Charlton Street School had their 25rd annual cookout, sponsored by the Knights of Columbus on Monday, June 16. Students and staff were treated to a wonderful meal of hotdogs, chips, juice, and ice cream sandwiches outside by the gazebo. At least 450 meals were served. Thanks to all who made this day possible.


The Phantom Tollbooth Jr.
Grade 4 and 5 students from Charlton St. and West St. Schools performed The Phantom Tollbooth Jr. on June 12 and 13 at the Southbridge Middle/High School auditorium.  Parents and guests were treated with a brilliant performance and were entertained by the cast members. The musical performances were superb as was the set and costumes. Congratulations to all for their hard work!


"A Tribute of Our Country"
Charlton Street School held their annual Flag Day celebration, titled "A Tribute to Our Country", on Friday, June 13, 2014. Students performed for their parents and friends, guests, and local veterans.
Johnny the K Visits CSS

Nationally acclaimed and award winning musician and teacher, John Kelleher, known as Johnny the K, along with his 12 string guitar and his unique collection of costumed hats, masks, and disguises, visited Charlton St. School on Friday, May 16. Students participated in John’s character building program that was designed to promote the principles of responsibility, respect, and cooperation. Johnny the K’s message was clear: each one of us can make a difference in school and at home.


Miss Alaineus Vocabulary Parade
Students at CSS participated in the Miss Alaineus Vocabulary Parade on Friday, March 28. Students in Grades 3-5 designed and created a costume that displayed a vocabulary word and paraded for students in grades 1-2.
